Hey Pat,
Sorry I couldn't come over tonight. Can't make it this weekend either... holiday stuff, spindles, beams, etc... When I get some free time I'll give you a call.
You can go ahead and install the engine, if you haven't already.
Basically what happened is when the crank was rotated w/out the dist. in place the dist. drive moved up to a place where it usually doesn't rotate. This "new" spot for the dist drive is a little tighter than usual and probably doesn't want to let the dist. drive move (rotate).
When I come over I'll basically put some pressure on the dist. drive and try to feel when the helical gears engage, then drive it home. Just don't get too crazy with it... the dist. drive gear on the crank is brass and therefore very soft.
Later.. _________________ Aaron B.

| Thanks Arron , have a great holiday .I won't mess with that distributer drive . But I'll put the motor in , adjust valves , hook all the wires up. I'm going to put gas back in the tank and check all the new fuel lines and filler neck I put in . The break booster taps on the manifolds are in a messed up spot so I have to fool with those also. |
